Communication & Culture University (graduate school) that creates the future through pride and innovation

Shaping the Future with
Pride and Innovation

Welcome to Hanyang University College of Communication & Culture homepage.

The innovation in communication technology today goes beyond mere technical advancement, rapidly transforming the paradigms of our communication methods and culture. At the forefront of this change, our College of Communication & Culture is dedicated to nurturing creative and innovative practical talent, combining theoretical depth with practical application, under the core vision of “Shaping the Future with Pride and Innovation.” Based on our innovative and structured curriculum in the fields of communication, advertising and public relations, culture, and contents, our students grow into practical professionals equipped with strategic thinking, creative planning skills, and the ability to communicate with empathy and collaboration. In the Advertising and PR major, students engage in integrated learning that covers both theory and practice to successfully respond to rapidly changing consumer behavior, new media trends, and the development of successful advertising and PR campaigns, as well as branded content. The Media major offers cutting-edge learning in areas such as new media, data science, data journalism, and information design, keeping pace with the AI era. In the Culture Contents major, we aim to cultivate multi-disciplinary cultural content experts who can respond to shifts in communication technology. Through problem-solving education based on industry-academia collaboration, we foster innovative talent needed by the content industry, offering in-depth education in areas such as planning, storytelling, business, and marketing. The Cultural Anthropology major provides specialized field training in East Asian and Third World cultural regions, along with high-quality education, to develop globally competitive professionals in the multicultural era. Traditional field research programs and project-based courses further promote hands-on learning and active engagement with real-world scenarios. In addition to academic exploration, each major offers Industry Coupled-Problem Based Learning (IC-PBL) courses, enabling students to collaborate with real companies or tackle societal issues. Through this structured learning, where they address real-world problems faced by businesses and communities, students enhance their practical skills, build confidence, and gain motivation. The College of Communication & Culture is fully committed to its mission of fostering creative talent—individuals who dream big, take bold challenges, maintain an open, unbiased global perspective, and practice the philosophy of “togetherness” by working with others. At the same time, we are devoted to providing full support to help students design their own futures and make a positive impact on both society and the world. With mutual respect and understanding, our faculty, students, and staff strive together toward building a better educational community and continue to grow and develop as one.
